My hope and dream for my kids has shifted from issues around school grades, friends and what they’ll be when they grow up to two primary desires. I pray that my kids know Jesus as their Savior and that I would have a good relationship with them when their adults. This is also essentially what God desires for all of us. God wants us to know Jesus and have a relationship with our heavenly Father as a result. For some people, this sounds odd or even silly; a relationship with God. God isn’t human. How can you have a relationship with “a god?” But the reason we struggle in life, our hurts, struggles, pains, frustrations, hang-ups and the like, all find their root in the fracturing of our relationship with God. Our relationship with God is the most important aspect of our lives for good or for ill. In today’s message we look at how we have that relationship and what God has done to provide it.
