How do we live in a world that opposes God and thereby opposes all of God’s people. Last week, in Esther chapter 1, we examined the world of Persia and how it mirrors the world we live in. Both of them worlds that have little, if any, regard for God. In this week’s message we look at how we go about living in that world. We have several options to choose from. We could retreat from it; buy a bunch of canned food and bottled water and hide from the world in the middle of nowhere. We could blend in go with the flow of the world and hide ourselves by looking like everyone else, doing and saying what everyone else says. Or we could protest and criticize the world for all that is doing wrong and against God. None of these are biblically commended as options, even though people try to live them out all the time. How then shall we live? In Esther 2 we are going to see two truths that we need to believe in order to live in a world opposed to God. Two truths vital to who we are and who God has called us to be in the world.
