Every new year offers a time to start again. With the passage of another 365 days there is an opportunity to take a step back, reflect on the year that was and to look forward to the year to come. As a church, we take the first few Sundays of January to remind ourselves what God has called our church to and what we are going be about as a community of Jesus followers. The call of God is encapsulated in our mission statement: to glorify God and make disciples by building an authentic Gospel-centered community. In today’s message we dive deeper into what it means to “make disciples.” We will focus on what it looks like practically lived out to be a disciple of Jesus as a member of our church. In particular, we will remind ourselves what Jesus called his first disciples to and take that as our jumping off point.
