What is Mission Church all about?
Real People. Real Purpose
Mission Church is a Gospel-centered, non-denominational church located in Forney, Texas. We are a church plant that was started in the Travis Ranch neighborhood in 2011 by Pastor Eric Creekmore. (Read more about Eric here.) We are supported by Fellowship Bible Church in Dallas and we are a member of the Acts 29 International Church-Planting Network.
Mission Church’s vision is simple: We want to glorify God and make disciples by building authentic, Gospel-centered friendships.
What does that mean? It means that we want to glorify God in every aspect by being a place where you will find real people (genuine people who aren’t afraid to share how life hurts) united for a real purpose: seeing lives transformed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It also means that we make building strong families a priority. We want our church to be a place where marriages are strengthened, parents are supported, and families of all types are taught how the Gospel of Jesus Christ can transform their relationships and their community. We strive to be a place where single people can see what healthy families look like and find support systems they need and where older people who may have an “empty nest” can lead and mentor those still in the trenches of day-to-day parenting. Our goal is for everyone who is involved in Mission Church to be encouraged and challenged to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and to find a place to serve in the church and in the community.
